- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.

W. Alexander Donald is an Associate Professor, ARC Future Fellow and UNSW Scientia Fellow (2021-2024) in the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. The Donald Group develops and applies instrumentation and methods in mass spectrometry to fundamental problems in chemistry and biochemistry with an emphasis on protein analysis. Alex is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (PhD 2010) where his research focused on fundamental ion chemistry and mass spectrometry. After his PhD, he migrated to Australia to conduct research at the University of Melbourne in bioanalytical mass spectrometry as a Centenary Research Fellow (2011-2012) before joining the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales in 2013. His research has resulted in 99 co-authored publications and been recognised by awards including the inaugural ANZSMS Michael Guilhaus Research Award (2015), the ANZSMS Bowie Medal (2019) and the RACI Peter W.
